"Life is Hard" is something you might hear everyone say at some point through out their lives. Especially if you are someone who aims high and shoots for the sky. This blog idea crashed into my brain while reading over a school assignment. The minute I was confused I threw my Santa hat on the ground and complained that life is hard. All that brought me was an incomplete assignment, and a sad Santa hat.
A few moments passed and I realized that complaining wasn't going to get me anywhere. In fact, complaining was slowing me down more than anything. Understanding that I was angry, I took a few deep breaths, made a small cup of peppermint tea, and re-read the assignment until I understood what it was asking for.
The truth is, small moments of anger can ruin the baby steps on the journey to achieve something greater. It is essential to remember that we aren't always going to love everything we do, even if it's something we are passionate about. Little projects and assignments can seem tedious and feel like a waste of time. However, taking a step back, putting our Santa hats back on and breathing can remind us that it is okay to be frustrated, but there is no reason to give up. Especially not because of one assignment you don't understand. As creative individuals we must find solutions to the emotions in our lives so that we can move forward with confidence and a clear mind.
